MAY: Household Hazardous Waste Round-Up Days and Composting Workshops

Consult the calendar (tab on the left menu) to discover the dates of the upcoming household hazardous waste (HHW) special collection days and of the introductory composting workshops.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Please note that as of January 2013, the solid waste management service that is provided by COGERNO will be part of the new North West Regional Service Commission (RSC #1). Also note that the waste management service will not be interrupted and will continue as usual.

ATTENTION - BLUE BINS 

Please do not leave any materials outside the recycling bins.

Please deposit only accepted materials in the blue bins located here and there in your region.

Do NOT deposit soiled materials (for example: cat litter, tampons, diapers, etc.), glass containers, styrofoam items, tires, lawn chairs, used oil containers, automobile parts, electronic devices, blinds, sofas, etc.

To know which materials are accepted in the blue bins or elsewhere, please refer to the blue squares in the section What To Do With These Materials? at the bottom of this page.

MILK CARTONS 

Milk cartons are now recyclable in the North West!

Deposit your milk containers (plastic and milk cartons) in one of the blue bins (metal and plastic) located nearest you. To locate the blue bins in your region, click on the Recyclable Materials tab below.

Please note that milk containers are non redeemable but can still be recycled in the blue bins.
